Mackinac offers a number of specialty loans to finance unusual properties and properties often avoided by other lenders.

SELLER FINANCE:  We purchase private mortgage loans taken back by parties when they sold  their residential property.  We purchase these loans in most states.  

COOP LENDING:  Mackinac offers long term and home equity loans for coop apartments in Florida and Michigan and certain other states. We allow land leases, recreation leases, non-stock, non-leasehold and other variation not allowed by other lenders.

H.O.A. BLANKET MORTGAGES: Mackinac makes blanket mortgage loans to help Condominium and Cooperative Associations buy out a land lease, a recreation lease or make improvements.

SMALL CONDO CONVERSIONS: Mackinac makes loans to owners of small (l0 units or less) rental properties to help refurbish,  convert the property to condominium ownerships, carry unsold inventory though sell-out and provide individual unit releases.

COOP MOBILE HOME PARK UNITS:  Mackinac provides financing for manufactured housing located on sites in selected cooperative mobile home parks.

MANUFACTURED HOMES ON ODD LOTS:  Mackinac offers financing to owners of manufactured homes permanently secured to their owned land when the home and land are taxed as one property.

REFURBISH/REHAB:  We offer a long term loan with construction draws during an interest only period followed by principal and interest payments after the work is completed  

BRIDGE LOANS: Mackinac provides Bridge Loans to help you buy your new home before you've sold or closed your existing home.

TREE HOUSES:  We have never financed one, but if it's real estate, we are willing to try.

RESIDENCES ON LEASED LAND OR WITH REC LEASES  We finance them
